SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed in regards to the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of status sassa infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company level created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and increase usage of Social Assistance expert website services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free during working days/hours sassa on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
